It has the enormous merit that, under standard law & econ analysis, ancap should produce law of maximal total benefit, while democracy should not. There is more to law than that, of course, but the approach with theoretical max efficiency of 100% should never be counted out.

By 'democracy' I assume you mean voting for what the state should enforce. But a better conception of democracy is Popper's https://www.economist.com/blogs/democracyinamerica/2016/01/karl-popper-democracy … [firewall soon to be removed] which is fully compatible with AnCap.
