So much identity-defending cultiness around the guy. His stuff on pomo, race, and gender is just utter trash. I'm saddened smart people I admire have been taken in.
Perhaps he's weak on some things. But I hear him talk about many important topics and give viewpoints that I think are true and valuable and the world needs more of today. If that's "being taken in", I'd like to be taken in a lot more often.
