1/ Watching #btc volatility & thinking about current use cases, I finally appreciate why @VitalikButerin says it's important to make a StableCoin. Ppl should be able to store value w/o taking on all this currency risk.

This is absurdly stupid; if you want stablecoin then you need a stable fiat behind it
Well, that's what makes the problem interesting :). There are promising approaches using things like oracles, distributed counterparties, automated inflation/deflation of the money supply, etc.
