2/ It (self-admittedly) oversimplifies to reduce categories, but I think it also underestimates the complexity of developing efficient systems. It's more than just coordination problems. (Though our systems do suck)

3/ finally, I think a huge piece of this is the very low average human capacity for abstract analysis, let alone systemic or meta-systemic reasoning (c/f Keegan's stages).
