Historically, throughout our evolution, a woman's sexuality was her most valuable "asset" to men. Eggs are rare, and reproduction takes her sexuality off the "market" for a long time. Low supply of female sexuality drives up it's value to men.

Historically, throughout our evolution, a man's ability to provide resources & protection was his most valuable "asset" to women. Resources are limited, and difficult to acquire -- even more so for women. Low supply of resources drives up their value to women.

Historically, women were most valued for their sexuality, and men for their resources. Women protected their most valuable "asset", her sexuality, by holding out only for the most Alpha men. Men protected theirs, his resources, by only investing in the most Alpha women.

Historically, men really only desired ONE thing from women -- her high-quality Alpha-Female genes. Women, however, desire TWO things from men -- his high-quality Alpha-Male genes, AND his provisioning. It's far more challenging for women to get TWO needs met from ONE man.

Uh...a woman who Chuck's her infant in a dumpster does a man no evolutionary good. A man (driven by evolution) must by definition value a woman's caregiving.

Clearly there's more to relationship investment for men than a just a woman's genes. The bigger point here is that women need more from a man than men need from a woman -- namely, security & provisioning. Women's greater needs are what drive her resistance to monogamy.

Your model is fundamentally feminist and anti-male, because it describes relationships where the man is making ongoing investments, but the woman isn't. That's broken. A real man wants to get ongoing investment (ie female Beta) in exchange for what he gives.

You said "Women desire TWO things from men..Alpha-Male genes, AND his provisioning." but "men only desired ONE..her Alpha-Female genes." This is equivalent to saying "men & women can each offer genes, but only men can offer ongoing investment (provisioning)"

Historically, in a brutal, untamed world prior to men building civilizations, women were far more necessitous of security and provisioning from men. Men have never relied on women for their security and provisioning -- for their survival. Men's CHILDREN relied on that from women

I think 4 billion years of evolution just might have endowed men with a little bit of an instinct to value the survival of their offspring. Unless you don't believe in evolutionary biology.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I clearly stated that in my tweet above. "Men's CHILDREN relied on that from women", "that" being a woman's nurturing of his children.
