It's a lovely idea, but there's no incentive for the journals to participate. They want to publish as many articles as possible, in as friendly an environment as possible. That way lies tenure and lifetime security.

They don't need to participate, that's the good thing about an adversarial environment. You can choose to be the adversary. Sokoling works by submitting through the regular process, proving that process is flawed.

I predict that, instead, the establishment will circle the wagons around the journals and prepare to call Sokoling unethical and a tool of their political enemies.
