I spoke to some Googlers a few years ago. They specifically mentioned the jargon file as something they considered old and busted. (Trust Millennials to think *that*)
Because tech is old and the hacker days are vague rumors to these kids, not misty memories? And they didn't bother to study historical culture even though it was mere decades ago?

Sigh. I would just pipe such ignorant twaddle to /dev/null, but I feel like we have to engage with it and get Millennials to respect history, otherwise we risk being dragged into the abyss along with them.
