What % of self-proclaimed socialists (e.g. @ebruenig ) could offer a solid refutation (or are even aware of) Mises' "calculation problem" re planned economies? If you can't persuasively rebut the strongest arguments against socialism, can u confidently call yourself a socialist?

Optimizing for the maximal rate of capturable return on capital is a good metric, but imperfect. In the limit / at the extreme that may result in a very bad outcome for humans.
