I don't understand when people say that reading Sapiens has influenced their lives. Was there really anything surprising in it? Anything that made you think fundamentally differently? Anything actionable?
I read 2/3 of a summarized version, and it was all boring progressive tropes with little insight. After all the amazing people I'd heard give it amazing reviews, I was utterly shocked. I suppose it could have been a bad/inaccurate summary.
