Think there's any chance for people to just disappear from the system? I found this 6200 acre ranch in rural TN with internet connectivity and an airfield. Essentially defensible communes of increasing independence and sophistication.

I think there is a place to move in this direction, but by replacing local govt and infrastructure, rather than federal. You can form a commune (or startup village) to do local police, roads, water, etc. That's good and gives you some political power.
