Think there's any chance for people to just disappear from the system? I found this 6200 acre ranch in rural TN with internet connectivity and an airfield. Mostly not. Self-sufficiency has deep romantic appeal, but in modern economy it means brutal poverty. If you trade with the world, they will find you and tax you. Even w/ crypto. Also, successful people (and investors) don't want a home that depends on hiding to survive. I don't.
