If yo think I'm promoting shitcoins here, then you're missing the point. Currently I think BTC maximalism seems to be more economically sound. I'm simply pointing out that scapegoating helps no one to actually clearly think through how things work and it will backfire.

It's not just BTC maximalists "poking jokes" at
@naval. I see shitcoin promoters joining in on the fun. It's an irrational mob of all-against-one. Prediction: Everyone feels the crisis of the bear market. If sacrificing Naval reverses it, people will worship him in the future.2 replies 2 retweets 13 likesShow this thread -
This isn't even mainly about Naval. It's that if we establish a ritual of sacrificing scapegoats every time we hit a bear market, then there are likely many unintended higher order consequences that we are blind to, which makes crypto market far more fragile than people assume.

Sacrifice of the scapegoat is a centralization risk. The attention of the network becomes centralized in one person rather than distributed. If the crypto space stays this focused on personalities, then things won't end well. Every coin is centralized.

Obviously the crypto bear market scapegoat should be Jesus. I mean, christ, that's what he's for right? @naval is awesome, but he's not Jesus, so this was a clear targeting error. The initiators need to read more Girard.
