SF may attract amazing people, but how many does it break with insane rents, extreme politics, dysfunctional dating/sex norms, anti-natalism, etc? A brutal dueling arena is a great place to find tough heroes...and mass graves. Epic, high-variance, yes. Smart play? No. GTFO FTW.https://twitter.com/William_Blake/status/1014944586425339904 …

That's a norm? I've only met a very few people who were into that stuff...
-
I think it's orders of magnitude more common in SF than other cities.

Huh. The poly people I know here are super sweet. The "poly" people I knew in NYC were just regular old urbanites who wanted to sleep around, but wanted to make it sound cool and glamorous.

They are super sweet people who are mostly choosing to remove their genes from the future of the world.

Their memes die too, parents transmit both. Unless the person produces exceptionally long-lasting content or spends an exceptional amount of time parenting (a teacher, say).

My problem with SF dating is no so much poly, but complete reliance on technology. If you don't have a great profile, you won't be doing any dating. Women aren't that receptive to being approached (however respectful you are) on the streets. How do you guys navigate that?
