There's a strong argument that the failure to understand the answer to this question in the Tory party is what caused Brexit.

Now Peter Foster has moved to the FT, it would seem logical for Mr Payne to go to the Torygraph.

Fantastic thread on the VAR problem in football (and this is one the technology got wrong).

Apart from saying that 'Germany' determines the law in the UK rather than UK courts. Which is not only factually wrong but has a very strong & unpleasant nationalist anti-German tone.

Imagine being so devoid of personal integrity that you could post something you know is false and misleading.

This is a terrible decision. The ref disallowed the goal so VAR has to decide whether the decision was 'a clear and obvious mistake'. It is impossible to tell from this footage whether it hit his hand or not, so it logically cannot have been a clear and obvious mistake.

OK, sounds good. How about we start this coming together by brexiters offering some compromise on the terms of the future relationship? Deluded.

Shame this wasn't the way it was sold to the people who voted for it then. Wonder why?

No point pretending otherwise: I'm going to massively enjoy it when the first brexiters start getting unexpected £250 data roaming bills next year.

Some great advice here. One thing missing though is: don't go early for a chair at a provincial uni, or you could end up stuck there.

No disgrace in losing to Liverpool. We looked much more solid tonight & had some chances. If Lanzini wasn't such a useless waste of space, we might even have got something too.

Greg's a smart guy (LSE alum & Remainer) but I fear he will lose out to the English nationalists in getting a good deal for science - fish are more important to brexiters than UK science.

Stephens (plural) absolutely correct here. Idea Mays deal could’ve got through with Remainer support doesn’t bear more than a couple of seconds scrutiny.
