    Finally reading “Range” by , since literally everyone recommended it. Lots of good nuggets, especially around analogical thinking. This fact about Netflix surprised me though. I assumed the algorithm was influenced by movie traits and not by analogizing users...

    This is actually very deep. As the parallel tech media ecosystem builds out, we will invest in personalized algorithmic summarizers, some of which will be open source. Auditable summaries by computer may then be preferred over fallible summaries by humans.
