UK Debt at the end of last year was £2.5 trillion, almost 100 per cent of gross domestic product. The cost of shutting down the economy during Covid has plunged future generation into a bond-debt. We should recoup some of these funds by dramatically reducing size of the state.

As from today, penalty fares for travelling without a train ticket are increased from £20 to £100. I welcome this as it raises the risk for "freeriders" to a level where it actually becomes off-putting
