Damn, really looking out for the children here. Cannot imagine what it's like to be a parent in Florida right now. It's never as easy as "just move." Life is so much more complicated, but this? This is a lot.

If Florida, teachers are advised to hide their books to avoid felony charges. At one school, “the kids began crying and writing letters to the principal, saying, ‘Please don’t take my books, please don’t do this.’” washingtonpost.com/education/2023

As a trans women, I wish I could just leave here too. But that’s always the thing with a lot of states like this. People who didn’t ask for this and forced to suffer because of a select few. Moving takes a lot of money and also having to make sure there is a job on the other side

Rs in NC recently took the state Supreme Court and even as a traditionally purple state I’m worried we are an R victory in the governor’s race from all of this.

Lived here all my life and I’m just angry all the time. Girls will now have to submit menstrual cycles to play sports and DeSantis just compared African American equality studies to zombie studies. There’s no bottom.

I moved from florida to californa with my two kids 2 years ago. One of my kids has dyslexia and FLs IEP process was a nightmare and wouldnt qualify them. CA had him qualified in a month of starting and was getting multiple daily reading sessions from reading specialist.

USA needs to balkanize. The culture wars are going to boil over into an actual civil war at this rate.
