I did not play Stadia in ideal conditions. I tried to take its pitch seriously, and play it the way it would fit into my life. I desire convenience. And so, I connected over wi-fi across the house. Over dirty Starbucks wi-fi. Tethered to a phone.
Thanks. The tech holds promise, but dropping $60 to only borrow a game will forever be my barrier to entry.

The best (and probably only) thing Stadia does is wake up the competition and make them step up their game. If it wasn't for Google, I doubt Steam and maybe even Microsoft would've come with their streaming service this "early".

I really appreciated this review! Your tests and examples really spoke to my use cases: mostly at home, sometimes on public Wi-Fi (hotel might be a more interesting test in the future), rarely over LTE.
Latest PC games without upfront investment? I'm in. Whenever that is.
