I clock out at 5:30 every day. I very rarely work on weekends. All my other time is spent with my family. I'm *extremely* fortunate, but most people aren't, and it hurts both the parent and the family. Work doesn't have to be structured this way. We can imagine a better world.https://twitter.com/CNBC/status/1127219910843740161 …

Would you be playing as much if it wasn't your job? Stuff like that seems like it gets 100x more complicated when a hobby of yours is also directly tied to your living.

In the end it is a job you do because you love the hobby and even though sometimes I’m sure you would rather do something besides play whatever game it is that you have to review I would bet that most of the time you are enjoying playing.

The goal is to find a job you love, or at least parts of the job you love. What you're saying is that you should only be paid for the things you don't like to do, and since most of us in the 99% need money, you're asking us to be unhappy.

My therapist asked me once how many hours a week I work and when she told me to include all the time spent watching/playing the things I write about it broke my brain

I know that’s how you and your comrades got to where you are but surely you could bring this up with Austin and team and find a path forward? Even in QA we didn’t have to test at home (although fucking live games, dear god what a nightmare).
