It seems that since this tweet in 2017 about the #WannaCry #ransomware outbreak, cybersecurity awareness at many companies still hasn't come to a satisfactory level.
Proof are the ransomware cases in the news at this moment.
One difference: ransomware became much nastier.

So you could argue: who has learned most? Malware creators, by finding many new attack vectors, and creating new business models? Or the companies undergoing the attacks?

Honestly, to me it looks like cybercriminals are winning. Sad to say so. The cybersecurity maturity is still at a dramatic low level at so many companies
