Isn't the headline, the net migration out lowest in 27 years? Wasn't it worst in 1993 or 2005, and close to netting out to parity in last 5 years? And even for younger cohorts, gaining some and losing some - outbound to TX, inbound from IL.

Speaks to magnitude of opportunity — inward migration should be vast. Instead, inflow disproportionately restricted to affluent, and despite being in throes of mega boom, migration *still* net negative.

103yr since my family came by wagons to Los Angeles - hearing stories of Grandma on deaths bed w/home&farm bulldozed for 405 freeway - Practice historically is remove the community every 20-25yrs, for every low is coming high and all must go for the prospectors

It's the locals who are both driving the lack of housing, and also being forced out. Can't really blame new arrivals for laws they didn't vote for.

Taxes and business environment in CA is terrible.

Weird then that we have lots of successful businesses paying high wages. However, still have net migration. Evidence doesn't seem to fit.
