What are examples of behavior that appears ethical but is actually profoundly not so? (Will of course vary depending on moral framework...)

Ethical as in good, or ethical as in morally neutral? Polygamy(cf. Polyamory) is one thing that is thought to be bad, but isn't.

Good question. I meant ethical as actively positive (i.e. you get "brownie points" for that behavior), not just neutral
