Something I realised a while ago is that certain trips (both holiday & work) I've actually enjoyed more in hindsight than I did at the time.

Doesn't a memory palace need to be a place you know WELL, as in, you've been there so many times you can visualize every detail eyes closed?

if you're recalling items on the journey in sequence you need to know it well; however, if you're blue printing a layout you don't.
