@marcprecipice Part of what I find so interesting about it is that it's so much *broader* than any economic claim. Religiosity, divorce, &c.
@patrickc yeah, I found those less convincing given the scope (attitudes towards religion and divorce have changed in that period).
@patrickc and some parts (e.g. adoptions from Korea in 1950s) seem to ignore racism or other factors (just reading this piece, that is).
