A thing that seems to be missing from notebooks and REPLs: for languages with modularity/privacy, there's usually no way to set the REPL to be "inside" the package or module you're working on. This greatly limits its use for exploratory development & debugging.

In general, CL made the REPL a viable development environment in a way that I don't think I've seen replicated anywhere else.
