Not the same use case. I have 3 bikes but very actively use shared bikes. Daily commute + recreational is on personal bikes but many short distance hops between meetings are on shared bikes.

I just spent a week in Amsterdam. They didn't need to legalize private bike sharing to get by hundreds of thousands of public citizens riding their bikes every day. The obsession with the private sector in this country is entirely misdirected.

It's not about bike sharing apps. It's about crappy or nonexistent bike lanes. It's about zillions of ride sharing drivers who don't know how to share the ride with bikes.https://m.sfgate.com/traffic/article/cyclist-deaths-bike-tess-rothstein-prevent-lane-13679967.php …

You give them too much credit unfortunately. Most politicians don't care about their people

Simply adopting the law common in many Japanese cities that to own a car you have to demonstrate you can store it on your own property would be a great boon.

I'm on your side here, but I think you need to compare like with like. Is there a cap on car sharing, if so I think its disingenuous not to mention it, if not I think it strengthens your argument and you should mention it!

Tell them to send some to
@VisitDublin. They don't invest in public transport infrastructure either and every morning there are fights around the@dublinbikes2go stations... -
At least Dublin has public transport! Come outside the pale and nobody cares how you get anywhere as long as you pay your taxes.
