Interesting read, but real output of US mfg is NEAR RECORD levels using less labor. I.E. higher productivity (~ wealth) due above all to high quality prodn + non-prodn. services. (Q. Why did FRG ‘miss the digital boat’ in 1990s? Weaker services performance, most likely).
