Thanks to crypto, the kinds of people who hung out on bitcointalk in 2012 are going to be allocating a *lot* of capital in coming decades. One of biggest spillover benefits of the space may be all the weird stuff they choose to back next.

Agree. I like macro waves that cause very different types of people to have lots of capital early. Because it's good test for how inefficient our status quo is a capital allocation.

i'd hazard that reducing cost of experimenting on weird/ambitious is more effective than altering capital allocation. for ex if housing cost in Bay Area area declined 50%, it would probably spur 1000's more startups, more innovation, etc.
