For a long time, I thought that sleep masks were pretty weird. Then I got one and found myself consistently sleeping for an additional 30-60 mins per night.https://www.amazon.com/Slip-Sleep-Mask-Pink/dp/B01JZX0Y2Q?th=1&psc=1 …

I second this recommendation wholeheartedly. I've been using them for years, originally because of weak curtains in hotels. But now I've switched to products sold as headbands. Softer, no gaps at the top/bottom, fold up tiny, and super cheap. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Q2L776G/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1 …

Earplugs too!

This sounds amazing, except that I worry the combo will make me immune to alarms.

100% this—I've never been able to sleep on airplanes, but then I got used to sleeping masks and now airplanes are sleeping time! (+ the Bose noise cancelling earphones make such a difference)

same thing goes for brushing my teeth. Seems to condition my brain to sleep. So now I shower + brush teeth before hopping on a redeye and sleep the entire way. It's lovely.

Yes! Sleep masks are a big win. I'm sensitive to light when I'm in bed, and masks fixed that annoyance. I finally got my wife to recently try it and she was hooked on day one. Add ear plugs? Next-level.
