I'd pay a *lot* more for books if I could see the highlights, annotations, and marginalia of friends or people I follow. If books really do matter in the world, feels like we'd benefit from a lot more reading technology. Getting books onto the screen was a good *first* step.

goodreads was a nice idea but sadly not many people use it regularly, also the UI has stayed the same since forever!

I am still surprised goodreads has survived given it's bad UI/UX. Fingers crossed for a surprise overhaul thanks to Amazon or a competitor to challenge them.

Who are you weirdos? I woke up one day to find that the mystery novel I was reading in my kindle had highlighting and notes. I do NOT want hints to my whodunnit! I was panicked & couldn't get rid of it for ages. Are you the horrible people who highlight & deface library books?
