Some clarity; looks like $1.7 is quarterly so closer to $7B for Microsoft. Granted they still have lots of expenses associated with Bing while Apple likely is mostly profitable from its deal. Also, the Apple figure is an estimate from Goldman Sachs.

I think about this a lot in terms of appl leverage over goog. What would happen if they switched engines though? There would be an uproar, no? Can you imagine iPhone users on Bing?
