Positioning issue, IMHO. If I were to put on my consultant hat: Discourse is the core offering of the company. Discourse costs money. Discourse is not hosting for the Discourse software any more than Gmail is hosting for the Gmail software. Discourse is Discourse. Separately...

The separately are probably: Discourse Enterprise, now with added works in your data center and an enterprise services agreement. Discourse Tinkerer Edition, by which interested hobbyists can attempt to create a knockoff of Discourse out of a Git repo and bubblegum. And:
