Falsehoods patio11 believes about physical addresses - a physical address has only 1 canonical address - Ok, a physical address has only 1 canonical address at one time - A canonical phys adress belongs to one person ..
-
Why do any of these invalidate patio11's idea?

I. Want. To. Do. This. It also means you could share data with consent to organisations, keep a record of consent and revoke it later.

Absolutely! I like to send colleagues and (internet) friends small things (books, artwork, ...) but need to ask them their physical address, which always feels invasive. I'd love a canonical representation that hides/protects the underlying data.

.tel tried but nobody bought it.

The problem is that it solves a problem people don't want to pay for. I remember looking at it 15 years ago and there was no way you could sensible monetize it - people won't pay for it and companies if paying won't allow access to be revoked.
