Every time I talk to physical product people I want to shudder and withdraw myself into the comforting embrace of a software business, which has plenty of problems without the eldritch horrors that they have to deal with.

lol. Two that I have heard: ".. and there was a heavy motor sitting on top of a rubber gasket, getting a bit hot... it melted its way through the thing slowly." "we need to have the software tilt the cup to pour out the content in portions. Luckily the test lab has a tiled floor.
