Daughter started pre-school today. A little thing I love: they explicitly introduced the (new) 3 year olds to the (experienced) 4 year olds and then immediately charged the 4 year olds with their care, because you learn responsibility by being responsible for people.

One of the best people to involve in training the new hire is the most recent new hire: they just did this and remember the pitfalls.

Teaching something helps you learn it far better. Have recent hires teach the new hire how to do all of the first-run stuff and it will further their own education. Shouldn’t exempt veteran employees, but serves as an especially valuable training for junior employees.
