Agree with sentiment. But employment doesn't really protect against spot change as wages very quickly move up with spot or ppl leave, nature of a boom.

It doesn't offer perfect protection, but if you treat workers right and create a good culture, the switching costs involved for workers can insulate you from mercenaries.
