Someone is going to eventually popularize an addressing system which makes people enter pointers and have a computer translate that into a physical address. My bet is Amazon, but it really *should* be one of the logistics startups.
I mean like “To: @patio11”
Call it Harry Potter addressing if you want; OwlPost would be able to deliver that, so why can’t better logistics systems.

Wouldn't it be really bad if anyone who knew your Twitter handle could send you physical mail? We maintain different identity systems (email, Twitter, physical address) for different use cases and different levels of privacy/security.

Even within a single platform, people maintain different identities for such reasons. Take for example finstagrams vs. rinstagrams for a public persona vs. private persona for close friends.

You should ask
@jessamyn, she’s the boss of the mail system.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
