Why are you not an agent? If I were looking for work I would absolutely say "Patrick will negotiate my compensation" and pay you a percentage of anything you got me beyond what I expected.

It would work, but that wouldn’t be nearly as fulfilling as my actual job, and I can create 98% of the value of that negotiation by tweeting at you that your market clearing price is no less than a million and that Google should be your first call.
