Maybe my kids will save things to their phones’ “hard drive” and get-of-my-lawn me will have to explain to them “No really there used to be an actual thing called hard drives, until they were all bought by AppAmaGooFaceSoft.” “Were there soft drives?” “Floppies.” “What?”

“We used to have physical artifacts that resembled the Save icon.” “And you would push them to save things?” “No you would save things to them.” “You would... store things inside the Save icon?” “No no you’re not feeling me.”

Unfortunately my experience (35 yrs in SV) has been in way too many startups that get bought. Dilution, IP buyout/aquihire, etc. Results: high profile jobs but very little $. The coolaid just doesn’t taste the same anymore. Don’t wreck your health over tech.
