Conference-goers and organizers, I'd like to recruit you for brainstorming. As a speaker, I want to find ways to be MORE of a resource to attendees. To turn up approachability and value beyond just being present in the hall. Any and all ideas welcome. RTs welcome.

Have had a good time as a speaker organizing formal office hours to give “OMG your famous so I am not allowed to talk” social permission.

Day job bought it as part of our last sponsorship. More on-brand for us than paying for food; felt like it was useful and fun to deliver.

It’s relatively cheap/non-disruptive for organizers to offer, particularly if they already have a room in reserve at venue for greenroom/etc

You can also do the “No permission required” thing of just telling people “I will be at X from Y to Z; come say hiya”
