Feels like a lot of online activity is migrating to private groups. Just me? And is it because groups are rising or public commons less fun?

To extent commons is waning (and replies to tweet are interesting), feels unfortunate. Public discussion creates so many spillover benefits.

Low-friction bar for initial participation and an outwards-looking circle of regulars seem to be surprisingly common in my experience.
