A thing that I actively remind myself to do since it doesn't come naturally, which people seem to like: explicitly comment on good work.

So I try to stay respectful of people's time but pipe up with "Thanks for doing this; I particularly like the X because Y, Z."

This was the weirdest, most exhausting part of management for me. I longed to work for/with people who didn't need constant reinforcement.
