They get compensated irregularly for providing presence at casino tables. Their buy-ins, travel, and hotel rooms are legit expenses.

If the company has high profits in a given year, then it can do things like e.g. invest them in a revenue-producing asset like an apartment.

I would think that the well-advised ones would at least have a simple LLC to receive non-gambling revenues (endorsements etc).
