why the redesign?

I don't particularly love the WordPress theme and adapting it to Jekyll would be excessive work relative to light design.

I switched to Jekyll from blogger this week after realising copy+pasting from vim to blogger was damaging my health.

I did that a couple years ago, then switched back - found that it added just enough friction that I was writing less often.
