I suppose if I were being exceptionally fairminded I'd point out that when Palin's account was hacked they only linked to the emails.

Long story; back during the 2008 campaign she was widely mocked for foreign policy inexperience and casting Russia as enemy.

Seems consistent to me—they cover emails and leaks all the time, the question of whether hacking should be encouraged is different.
The literal words: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing”. That’s advocacy.
There is a reason a president never jokes about condoning foreign espionage.
