It is very easy for an experienced developer, writing a hello world web application in C, to give anyone on Internet root on their server.

If you want to program web applications in C, you should probably stop and ask yourself why and if that really makes sense.

I would put Rust much more in that space. Partially for the no GC or runtime and stronger C interop

Go and Rust both fall under that category, with Elixir as more of a "ticks all the same boxes & important extras, but less C-like."
