Oh crikey is this important: if you buy e.g. MailChimp but don't send email, a) no value to anyone but b) MailChimp not "at fault."

If on the other hand you hire A+ Email Consultants, customer knows emails will get written / sent and if no results then consultant at fault

This makes customers who are on the fence or otherwise engaged w/ biz problems more likely to consume service than product.
