      I struggle with this in a sales context. Many people have the mental model that B2B software ALWAYS requires a demo and a phone call, and we don't do that. Sometimes I do that just to oblige them, but I don't really have time for that these days

      I'm in agreement with Amy; your constraints, as real as they are, surface no customer value. The way I'd position it would be "We have found that we're able to deliver better-researched, thorough answers to questions over email than impromptu on phone calls. That's why $SELL."

          For similar reasons I'd never tell a client "I am rescheduling a meeting because I feel like I am in the midst of a depressive episode." That would likely cause the client to think less of me, for no good reason. CEOs reschedule meetings all the time. Schedule tetris, oh well.

          (One of the weird things to get used to when running a business for me was taking my meek, apologize-for-almost-literally-anything behavior and saying "OK so that's definitely still me but the company, on the other hand, has a Process and you'll deal, as people generally do.")
