What's the most polite way to say "Given that everyone has lost their childcare, let's try to avoid a phone call and handle this via email if at all possible"?

For similar reasons I'd never tell a client "I am rescheduling a meeting because I feel like I am in the midst of a depressive episode." That would likely cause the client to think less of me, for no good reason. CEOs reschedule meetings all the time. Schedule tetris, oh well.

(One of the weird things to get used to when running a business for me was taking my meek, apologize-for-almost-literally-anything behavior and saying "OK so that's definitely still me but the company, on the other hand, has a Process and you'll deal, as people generally do.")
