Yeah this bit me 6ish years ago. Helped build the company from ragtag to respectable business and then the owner decided to sell and hose everyone who helped build it. We all worked for way under market because he let us think we had ownership.

First start up I was at felt like this. Everyone was talking about how much money we were all going to make, but the engineers and founders had very different definitions of who “we” were.
