I think we’re excessively surprised as to what happens if you e.g. read literally every book in the library on WWII. Intuitively, we know what is likely to happen. I suspect subtler institutional and culture pressure would build up around it. “X is doing it, why don’t you?” is a parenting theme for a reason. And elite improvement effects don’t change high school dating, but do change e.g. employment.

A rising tide lifts all boats. If you want to see people learning, building their skillsets etc you must exemplify and encourage that behavior.
